Vanquish Effect: Success was never about YOU

It took me 40 years on this planet to realise that it was never about me. Nobody cares that I founded multiple companies or sold a few. They don’t care about my ‘origin story’ or my successes and failures. What they care about is their certainty in my ability to drive results for them. That’s it—nothing else. Yet, we often sabotage our own success by getting caught up in the need to impress.
We convince ourselves that to be taken seriously, we must project wealth, success, and status. But here’s the paradox: the more we say about ourselves, the less believable we become in the eyes of our prospects. It’s mindless posturing.
I fought hard to maintain my status for years, thinking my identity was tied to accolades and past successes. It never was; people worked with me ‘in spite’ of that nonsense.
Recently, with the guidance of my mentor, I decided to shed these pretences—like a monk renouncing his worldly possessions. I rewrote my social media profiles to focus on results rather than myself. I changed my images from looking like ‘Logan Roy’ in a suit to wearing a t-shirt with a smile. I dropped the big-boy talk in my narratives and even removed ‘CEO’ from my headlines. The results were astounding and completely counterintuitive.
Who knew it was never about me?
Try this in November: drop the pretence, show up calm, humble, and ready to help your prospects and clients. See if the results don’t blow your mind too.
As promised, Vanquish in under 1 minute.
